The programme, according to the college’s provost, Dr. Sule Musa, commenced this month following the accreditation of the institution by the National Universities Commission (NUC) after a recent inspection.
He said the college has successfully affiliated with BUK on at least six undergraduate courses which include English, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Biology, Geography and Chemistry based on the needs of the people of Kano State.
Dr. Musa also said the registration fee for the degree programme is N25,000 excluding departmental and screening fees, but that Kano indigenes are not required to pay for the central registration due to the recently introduced free education policy in the state.
He said each of the new undergraduate courses would be taught by at least 10 lecturers with masters and doctorate qualifications, adding that the undergraduate school has been equipped with modern instructional facilities in order to make learning easier.
