Sabon Gari communities in Kano state have commended the state government for undertaking repair works on some roads in the area.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kano state chapter and Presiding Bishop Calvary Life Assembly International, Bishop Ransom Bello said Christians and non-indigenes in the state were delighted over the projects.
He said: “I have received many calls from many people appreciating the good things that are happening in Kano in terms of religious tolerance and developments that are going on in the Sabon Gari where most of the non- indigenes live. People are delighted over the development beacuse it is fostering good relationship between Muslims and Christians in the state”
He said the state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje had during the governorship election campaign promised to bring infrastructural development to Sabon Gari and now he has started fulfilling his promise. Road construction will greatly enhance the socio-economic development of the area.
He added that government should also pay attention to other sectors such as education, infrastructure and agriculture, recalling that the immediate past administration of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has done a good job in the state evn though it has neglected Sabon Gari area.
