Sack Coach Keshi now!

The past week, Nigerian diehard fans could not believe what is happening in the soccer arena. When the Congo national team defeated our Super Eagles 3-2 in Calabar, many people blamed the field for not being in good condition and the players promised to redeem the country’s image when they played their South African counterpart. The pitch in the Rainbow Country is one the best in the entire world.
Nigerians expected our players to live up to expectation by defeating Bafana Bafana, by wide margin only to come out with a barren draw.
The defeat suffered in hand of Sudan national team on Saturday can only be described as the worst embarrassment to be meted out to our footballing nation in recent times.
The present coaching crew of Coach Keshi has shown clear that he lacks a credible match plan, no definite partner in play. His questionable invitations of players to camp, leaving out some of our best legs showed him out as a coach that has lost touch with the present day reality of taking our football to the next level of optimal performance.
His refusal to have a technical assistant to help him get us the best did not help matters either, which has thrown our football nation into a mood not seen in many years. If our football should move forward, the sacking of Coach Steven Keshi should not take long to restore the past glory of the game. No individual is greater than this country in all facets of our lives, especially in football that has been a unifying factor in this country. The NFF should engage a more competent coach, if possible a foreign, one that would not believe in sentiment and invite the best for the country.
