The Hero and Icon has fallen Umar Aliyu Shinkafi.
He built over ten Jumu’at Masjids single handedly.
He built over hundred hamsa sallawat masjids.
He built many Islamic schools.
He sponsored many students to pursue their education within and outside the country.
He built many houses for the less privileged free of charge.
He writes off many medical bills for hundreds of patients.
For over forty years he has been sponsoring no less than 20 people to perform Hajj rites.
He has undertaken many philanthropic gestures too numerous to mention.  Not only Zamfara, Kebbi and Sokoto the entire Nigeria will missed the exit of Marafan Sokoto. May Jannatul Firdaus be his final abode.
