Sallah: Kwara FRSC targets 5% accident reduction

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara State has said that it aims to reduce road traffic accidents by five per cent during the Eid el-Fitr celebration on Wednesday.

In a statement, the state’s FRSC’s spokesman, Basambo Olayinka Busari, quoted the Sector Commander, Fredrick Ade Ogidan, that a special patrol was scheduled from June 26 to July 1.

Busari explained that the sector would organise rallies in all inter-state motor parks and markets to sensitise the public in order to ensure free flow of traffic during the period.

The statement reads in part: “950 personnel, 500 Special Marshals, 40 patrol vehicles, two power bikes, four ambulances, four privately owned tow trucks, among others, have also been deployed to monitor all roads during the celebrations in Kwara State.”
