The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, has deployed 4,500 personnel to ensure adequate security during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
FCT NSCDC Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, announced the deployment on Wednesday in Abuja, directing officers to secure all areas within the FCT to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
He emphasised that the move was aimed at safeguarding lives and protecting critical national assets and infrastructure before, during, and after the festivities.
He said the officers were drawn from various specialised units of the Corps, including the Female Strike Force, Arms Squad, and Operation Adkasu.

Others, he said, included the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) unit, as well as the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) units. (NAN)
