Sanusi returns to Gombe to salvage career

After superlative performance for Gombe United in the 2011/2012 season, Sanusi moved to Rangers International where he played for the ‘antelopes’ in the CAF Champions League.
Unfortunately, his fledging career was hit by a nagging knee injury which kept him out of action for a better part of his stay in the club.
He finally took the decision to go back home at the end of last season and is happy with the decision to retrace his steps.
Sanusi told SHOT! that there is no place like home so he is looking forward to a fruitful season with Gombe United.
He said the injury that kept him out of action when he moved to Rangers is gone and he is enjoying his career once again.
“I have returned to Gombe United, firstly, because there is no place like home. Secondly, I want to save my career.
“Although Rangers fans showed me love, it was not possible for me to repay their kind gestures because of the knee injury I suffered.
“At the moment, I am fit and ready to help my club Gombe United win something this season”.
Before his injury worries, Sanusi was a regular face in the Home-based Super Eagles camp.
