CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi has assumed duty as the 35th Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

In a statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, announced that Sanusi takes over from the incumbent, CP Miller G. Dantawaye. Dantawaye has been elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) and redeployed to a new strategic assignment by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

According to the statement, the new FCT CP is a seasoned officer with decades of meritorious service and extensive professional experience.

 Born on May 20, 1972, CP Sanusi hails from the Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (Course 20) in May 2000.

“Following his successful training and passing-out parade in 2001, he was posted to the Niger State Police Command, where he commenced his policing career,” the statement noted.
