The wife of the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has implored women to show their voting strength in the forthcoming general elections so as to get their deserved recognition.

Dr Sanwo-Olu made the call yesterday at the Ikoyi campaign office of her husband during a meeting with groups of women, led by female chairpersons of local council development areas and women groups within the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group.

Dr Sanwo-Olu noted that women in Nigeria and Lagos State in particular could only have more representations in all arms of government when they showed strength with their numbers in areas of mobilisation and actual voting.

Leader of the delegation, Mrs Medinat Omobolanle Adetutu, responded, “We have the strength. We will support Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and we are sure women will get quality representation in his government. Our party, APC, is women-friendly.”
