Mrs palin was a little known governor of Alaska and was shot to instant fame when she was chosen to run alongside John McCain in last year’s election. She has been in the news since then.

Recently, Palin resigned as a governor of Alaska and decided to write a book about her experience in life from childhood to her resignation. The book deal was signed only four months ago with Harper, a division of Harper Collins.

The early release of the book, which had been previously scheduled for early next year, is another surprise from Palin as well as the title of the book, Going Rogue: an American life. It was believed that in some quatres Paliin did more damage than good to McCain’s campaign by going rogue and refusing to play according to the script of the McCain campaign team.

In her book, Palin admits that there was indeed tension between her aides and McCain’s and went ahead to point fingers at some of those involved in the failed campaign, sometimes in very uncharitable words. This has elicited some harsh reactions from some members of McCain’s team.

One member of the McCain campaign team called it “total fiction” and said the earstwhile governor simply used the medium to get even with people who tested her character during the unsuccessful campaign.

The book was co-written with Lynn Vincent and has been rushed through the press by publishers, Harper, an imprint of Harper Collins. An initial 1.5 million copies of the book was launched into the book market this week.

This follows on the heels of Serena Williams’s autobiography. The Tennis star collaborated with …. to bring out a book that recounts how her father tutored her on public courts littered with broken glass and drug paraphernalia to become a top star as well as other challenges she has overcome in her life. Serena’s book titled on the Line was released recently amidst massive media  hype.

Soon, it is expected that former American Vice President, Dick Cheney will also release his autobiography.
