Executive Producer of the show,  Hajia  Habiba Ismai’l,  said that  Sarewa Africa Television is a  dream that started over 20 months ago  with the aim of providing the necessary platform for talented youths to build career in music and acting in Hausa language.

She  said that the reality show is coming at a time when there is an increasing need for youth development  which  according to her,  the show is meant to  address by showcasing talents as well as stepping up technical  and professional content, thus making it competitive in today’s contemporary market.

“The music genre in the Sarewa Africa reality TV is unlimited; the talent hunt will welcome music ranging from social crises, romance, unity, non –violence, corruption, political instability and any other developmental needs in our society.  There is no doubt that a project of this nature demands enormous resources, however our professional and organisational experience has been fully deployed to ensure effective coordination of the Sarewa Africa reality TV project. We are daily encouraged by the inflow of enquiries, show of solidarity and goodwill from interested would be participants and indeed the general public,”  she said.

Hajia   Ismail revealed that the reality show is the first of its kind in Hausa, adding that it is going to be an annual event with the competition segmented across the northern part of the country with the showcasing of events in Port Harcourt and Lagos to provide opportunity for upcoming stars in other part of the country.

She said that the star prize of a brand new Kai Serato will be presented to the overall winner of the reality show during the grand finale of the competition by Habiba Gazelle foundation, an NGO for the upliftment of vulnerable persons in the society which she founded.
