The two-day conference is scheduled to commence on the February 22 in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the auspices of Muslim World League.
A statement signed by the Sokoto State Commissioner for Information, Malam Nasiru Bako, said  the conference would examine the danger posed by terrorism and its ramifications on global Muslim societies.
It added that the League acknowledged the rich experiences Governor Wamakko had acquired over the period of his career in public service which, it  noted,  would be of immense benefit in the fight against terrorism.
It would be recalled that Governor Wamakko had won the “Most Security Conscious Governor in West Africa” award last year.
