Ogo Omoge, grandson of a legendary musician, late Comfort Omoge, has been gruesomely murdered at the Ayeka/Igodan community in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Daily Trust reports that the late Comfort Omoge was a Nigerian musician known for her traditional African folklore music of the Ikale people in the Ondo South area.
Mr Omoge, who is also a prince in the ancient community, was brutally attacked and killed by a scavenger over an argument that occurred last week.
The tragic incident has left residents and the deceased’s family members in shock and disbelief.

A source, who spoke in confidence on Monday, said that an argument broke out between Mr Omoge and the scavenger before the later brought out a dagger and allegedly slit the throat of the former.
“There was a minor disagreement between [Prince] Omoge and the scavenger. What started as a small issue spiralled out of control,” he said.
He added, “Before we knew it, Omoge was stabbed, and the attacker fled the scene immediately. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead by medical personnel. There’s tension currently in the community.”
Ayanlade Olayinka, the spokesman for the police in the state, who confirmed the case, revealed that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the crime.
“He (suspect) is currently in our custody,” Mr Olayinka said but failed to disclose the identity when pressed further on Monday.
