An Ekiti State Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced one Isah Mohammadto two years imprisonment for stealing iron rods.
The prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Adesegun, said the defendant on 30th of July, 2024 in Ado Ekiti, did steal iron rods meant for the construction of a house belonging to one Adejibola Ademola, valued at N200,000.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 302 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State, 2021.
The prosecutor called four witnesses and tendered the defendant’s statements and the Iron rods as exhibits.

The convict spoke through his counsel, Lanre Oluwasola, who called no witness.
In his judgement, Magistrate Olatomiwa Daramola, sentenced him to two years imprisonment with N5,000 fine option.
