School helps me to reach my potentials – Head girl

The outgoing Head Girl of Ibn Mas’ud Comprehensive Centre, Kuje, Abuja, Fatima Abubakar Abbas, has said that her school has helped in guiding her and many of her colleagues realize their capabilities.

She made the remark at the 13th graduation ceremony of the school on Saturday. She said the school and the teachers have helped students to achieve success as well as discover and achieve their potentials through quality teaching.

She said: “I have been in this school since I was four years old. So, the school has been and always will be a major part of my life. I remember being quiet and lacking in confidence but the school has transformed me to be able to discover and develop my potentials.”

In his remarks, the head of the school and counselor, Baba Usman, said one of the most important gifts teachers have offered young children are the skills and opportunities to have positive view of themselves and “therefore encourage them to aim for progressive and sustainable success and be determined to do their best in achieving the best.”
