School in Akwanga expels staff over child molestation

An international school in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has expelled its staff over alleged child molestation in the primary section of the school.
Shepherd’s International College, Nursery and Primary School, Akwanga, in a statement on Saturday signed by the principal, Mr. Peter Adoga-Adoga, said the incident of child molestation happened in the primary section of the school.

He however said a case of rape that was reported in one of the national dailies did not happen in the college, but Government Secondary School Ube in the same local government close to Mopol Barracks.
He disclosed that the staff in question was expelled on May 14, 2021 and the matter is before the Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia.
“We would like the general public to know that Shepherd’s International College and Shepherd’s Nursery and Primary School do not tolerate any acts of indiscipline or child molestation,” he added.
