The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Karu Chapter, has rejected one of its members facing trial for allegedly raping a four-year-old and advised parents against enrolling their children and wards in unapproved private schools.
A statement by the NAPPS Karu Chapter Chairman, Pastor Abraham Agada, observed that the accused person(names withheld), who is currently in Keffi Prisons over a rape case, and his school were not part of the association at the ward, state or national level and had been stopped by the government from operating before the rape scandal.
 “We equally advice parents not to consider only the monetary issues in enrolment of their wards in private schools, but to also consider the pedigree and environment the school operate in. We also call on the Ministry of Education to take prompt action and look into schools springing up indiscriminately,” Agada said.
