Schools have been urged to pay particular attention to building of pupils’ character. 

The Principal of Louisville Girls Secondary School, Gwagwalada, Reverend Sister Gertrude Elelegu, made this call during the school’s 10th anniversary and fundraising ceremony. She said ‘proper education’ would ensure that youths were well-educated and well-mannered in the society.

“Proper education simply put is wholesome or holistic education which builds not only the intellect but also the character of a person,” she said, adding that education should not be restricted to acquisition of intellect.
