Higher institutions across the country have been asked to tap into advanced technologies to make new farming techniques.
The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, made this known at the 14th combined convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic Bida recently. He said institutions should compose efficient farming methods to improve food security.
“The time has come for us to move from being a consumer nation to a producer nation. The polytechnic is the bedrock of this aspiration,” he said. The minister was represented by the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr Masaudu Adamu Kazaure.
