A South East political support group for President Bola Tinubu, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the Renewed Hope Ambassador, describing the decision as timely and significant for the region.
In a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, the group said the appointment reflects President Tinubu’s confidence in Governor Uzodimma’s leadership capacity and commitment to national unity.
According to SERHA, the development also demonstrates the President’s recognition of the governor’s role in advancing the administration’s goals for inclusive governance and strengthened national cohesion.
Enwere said Governor Uzodimma has shown dedication to the ideals of the Renewed Hope agenda, adding that his new role is expected to boost political engagement and public confidence in government initiatives.
“Governor Uzodimma’s appointment as Renewed Hope Ambassador underscores the confidence President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) place in his capacity to contribute to national objectives,” the statement read.
SERHA also referenced what it described as improvements across various sectors in Imo State, including infrastructure and economic initiatives, noting these as factors behind the governor’s suitability for the national role.
The group added that Governor Uzodimma has been a vocal advocate for South East integration into the national political process, expressing hope that the new appointment would enhance opportunities for the region within the broader national agenda.
“Governor Uzodimma has continued to play a role in promoting dialogue and unity. His appointment aligns with the goals of the Renewed Hope vision,” SERHA stated.
The group congratulated the governor on the appointment, describing it as a recognition of his contributions to governance. It also expressed optimism that the role would create more development opportunities for the South East and support the Tinubu administration’s efforts across the country.
