The chairman of the Association of Radiologists in Nigeria (ARIN) in the FCT, Dr Ohikhoakhai Wellington, says the second wave of COVID-19 infection is imminent in the country.
He cited the relaxation of the lockdown, especially in the airspace.

He spoke in Abuja on Tuesday at the 2020 International Day of Radiology (IDoR) with the theme ‘The Radiologists and Radiographers; Supporting Patients During COVID-19’.
“The borders here are free, people are now coming freely into our country from all over the place. But we are hoping that at the borders, we will be strong enough to check people coming in strictly, or tell them to go into isolation before re-admitting them into the society otherwise we will find ourselves locking down again for the second time.”
Dr Daji Fesisayo, Head, Radiology Department, National Hospital, Abuja, cautioned that coronavirus battle was not yet over.
He urged everyone to continue maintaining the measures of regular personal hygiene hand washing, use of face mass and sanitizer.
