Security agencies in Kaduna State have launched a sweeping clearance operation targeting insurgents, bandits and criminal hideouts across multiple local government areas.

According to a statement issued by the Kaduna State Police Command, signed by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the large-scale operation carried out in synergy with the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), KADVS, vigilante groups, and local hunters extends across Makarfi, Hunkuyi and Ikara LGAs.

The mission, the command said, is “strategically designed to flush out criminal hideouts, dismantle illegal camps and restore absolute peace and stability within all the nooks and crannies of the affected areas.”

The crackdown follows marching orders from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, directing all commands nationwide to intensify crime-fighting operations.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reassured residents of sustained security pressure across the state.

He noted that the joint operations will remain “continuous and robust,” stressing that all security agencies are maintaining “close collaboration to ensure a crime-free environment.”
