More than 40 security officials across 15 Nigerian security agencies have trained on the latest cybercrimes prevention and detection methods by a cyber-security firm, Global Accelerex.
At the training which took place in Abuja last week, Executive Director, Business Development and COO of Global Accelerex, Kayode Ariyo said the training would go along way in reducing cyber-crimes in the country.
He said as the world witnessed advancement in ICT, new crimes were also propping up hence the need for security to get advanced knowledge on prevention and detection of the crimes.
He expressed appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser and all the security agencies for their selfless service, and reiterated the company’s commitment to support programmes that would make the cyber space safe.
He added that by investing in people, the security apparatus would be stronger and stay ahead of cyber criminals.
“We are confident that this forum will help to further improve the strategies employed in the course of duty and make the cyberspace safer for all,” Ariyo said.
