A chief magistrates’ court in Kaduna has ordered the remand of a security guard, Olafy Michael, 63, over alleged defiling of a three-year-old girl.

The magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel, said the defendant should be remanded in prison custody, pending legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Emmanuel gave the order following an application by the Prosecutor, Asp. Chidi Oke, that the defendant be remanded.

The magistrate then adjourned the matter until June 5 when the case would come up for mention. (NAN)
