The Lagos State government has sealed a hostel named Western Lodge Hotel, located at 123, Isawo Road, Agric area of Ikorodu, over its use as criminal hideouts.
The state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, in a release, stated that the action was taken for the safety of those that reside in the area, adding that the government would reinforce police to ensure safety of lives and properties.
“The recent security investigations  in the Ikorodu area of the state have revealed that the Western Lodge Hotel, located at 123, Isawo Road, Agric area of Ikorodu has been associated with illegal and criminal activities.
“And the state government has accordingly decided to seal up the hotel  until further notice,” he said
He advised the residents of Lagos State to be vigilant and give report  of any suspicious activities in their immediate environment to the police or any of the security services within the state.
He reiterated that the government would not hesitate to confiscate any building used to perpetrate crime.
“Do not  allow any building to be used to harbor criminals or serve as  a base for criminal activities,” he said.
