A tech company, Sure Switch Tech Ltd, has launched ‘Drop App’, where drivers and passengers in Abuja and other major cities in Nigeria can connect directly, negotiate terms, and travel with ease.
During the launch in Abuja on Monday, the Chief Executive Officer of Sure Switch Tech Limited, Ugbah Chukwuma, said what truly sets the ‘Drop App’ apart from every other platform in Nigeria is its driver-first approach.
He said while traditional e-hailing apps often take significant commissions from drivers, his firm has chosen a different path.
“On the Drop App No commissions are deducted from drivers’ earnings.
“Also, drivers pay only a flat rate of 500 Naira daily, giving them unlimited access to the platform. This means drivers get to keep more of what they earn, creating a sustainable livelihood for them and their families,” he said.
Another key feature of the application he said is the freedom for drivers and passengers to negotiate ride prices directly.
He said: “This is a game-changer, as it ensures transparency, fairness, and mutual agreement. It is our way of putting control back into the hands of the users—both the drivers and the passengers.
“The Drop App is built for convenience, affordability, and empowerment. For drivers, it is a low-cost, high-reward platform that guarantees value for money. For passengers, it is a reliable and flexible service that accommodates their preferences and budgets.”
