See those ‘playing God’

Dr. Halliru spoke arrogantly as if PDP is the only existing party and must decide from where any future Nigerian president comes from; he was silent on when Yar’adua’s tenure would expire. But who told Bello and his party that there may not be indices of change that would counter their thoughts? Was he relying on the earlier statement credited to the PDP Chairman, Vinvent Ogbulafor, which suggested that the PDP would rule for the next sixty years? They forget that business (rigging) as usual may not be there in future elections.

On the PDP serving senators demanding automatic tickets; again, they arrogated God’s power to themselves suggesting that they would all be alive (I do not wish any dead anyway) till the next election time. Senate President David Mark in particular may be counting on the rigging and controversy that characterized the last election that brought him in and hoping it would recur.

Life itself is transient. PDP should concentrate on how to make their divided house come back united, while the Senate, which has the PDP in majority, should concentrate on how to do the work they are there to do. All should not forget that God (only) holds the future.
