Using the claim of Madagascar having a cure for COVID-19 as a backdrop, it is important to sensitize the general public on the downsides of self-medicating. The talk of traditional medicine being the cure of the coronavirus might increase the use of herbal mixture which can be very detrimental to one’s health. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has asked Nigerians to bring any mixture they think is the cure to them for evaluation. Though I am not against the use of traditional medicine, I believe in the proper regulation and administration of these mixtures.

Many people use their discretion when it comes to using these herbal mixtures and this is one of the causes of ailments in many Nigerians. So, I would like to appeal to the general public to be responsible about their choices.
