Semenyo would settle the gritty encounter with a backheeled goal 18 minutes to the end of the encounter from Haaland’s assists.
Semenyo is also the first African to score in the FA Cup final since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Arsenal, against Chelsea, in 2020.
The latest FA Cup triumph for City is the eighth in the club’s history, now level on number of titles won with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham, as coach Guardiola claimed the third during his reign.
Defeat is Chelsea’s fourth consecutive FA Cup final loss. The Blues have also not won at Wembley in the last five finals that they have visited the stadium.
