Senator Ahmad Abdulhamid Malam Madori of the Jigawa North East Senatorial District has been returned unopposed at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held in Hadejia.
He was affirmed as the party’s candidate following the withdrawal of his main challengers; former Comptroller General of Customs, Muhammad Babandede, Barriter Sani Garin Gabas and Pharmacist Ubaki Hashim.
The affirmation exercise was witnessed by APC leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, including the Zonal Vice Chairman, Hon Muhammad Umar Dikkuma and Jigawa State Vice Chairman, Hon Nasiru Jahun.
Malam Madori would be returning to the National Assembly for a second term in the event he wins the next coming election.
Speaking shortly after his affirmation, he expressed gratitude to APC stakeholders, delegates, and party supporters.
He also expressed appreciation to Governor Umar Namadi for his courage and commitment towards providing basic privileges of life to the people of Jigawa State.
