The Senate on Tuesday asked its committees on National Planning; Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions; Marine Transport; Land Transport and Works and Power. to interface with the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, on the Federal Government’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (2017-2020).
This followed a motion “on the need to critically assess the performance of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) 2017-2020” sponsored by Senator Abdu Suleiman Kwari.

Kwari said the ERGP, which has now elapsed, could not be said to have met desired socio-economic aspiration.
He there was the need to critically assess the performance of the Plan to ascertain whether it had met the desired goals.
