The Nigerian Senate has Wednesday passed the 2014 budget of N 4.642 trillion  into law. The legislators increased the budget proposal from the executive by 53 billion naira .

 The Executive had proposed to spend 1.1 trillion trillion naira on capital expenditure  in the budget  estimate presented to the National Assembly by the Co-ordinating minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in December 2013.
