Senate presidency: I’m in race to win, rebrand N/Assembly – Izunaso

Sen. Osita Izunaso

Senator Osita Izunaso, an aspirant for the position of the senate president, has said that his aspiration to lead the senate of the 10th National Assembly is in the best interest of the nation.

He, therefore, urged the leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to douse the tension generated by the zoning formula already fouling the political atmosphere of the country by coming up with an arrangement that would guarantee unity and national cohesion.

Izunaso, who spoke during a parley with media executives in his campaign office in Abuja, urged the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the APC under the leadership of Abdullahi Adamu to come up with a new zoning arrangement.

He said, “The expectations of Nigeria and the entire world are high on the incoming administration; hence no effort should be spared by the present political leaders of the country in meeting the yearnings of the people.”
