Senators across political divides have expressed strong commendation for the leadership style and strategic orientation of Senator Aniekan Bassey, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), describing his approach as disciplined, focused, and reflective of a deep understanding of global governance.

Lawmakers noted that Senator Bassey has brought stability, clarity, and purpose to the Committee by outlining a forward-looking agenda aimed at repositioning diaspora issues as a crucial component of national development. They highlighted his emphasis on global awareness, diaspora welfare, effective collaboration with international partners, and improved NGO coordination as timely and necessary.
