Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has mourned the passing of His Royal Majesty, Brigadier General Abu Ali Mopah III (Rtd), the Etsu of the Bassa-Nge Kingdom.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, the senator described the late monarch as a remarkable traditional ruler who dedicated his life to the development and unity of the Bassa-Nge people.
He said the reign of the Etsu was marked by peace and progress. “His Royal Majesty, Gen. Abu Ali’s rulership was impactful, prosperous and very peaceful,” he said, urging the family and the entire Bassa community to take solace in the legacies he left behind.
“My deepest sympathy goes out to the immediate family of the deceased and Bassa Local Government in general,” Senator Jibrin added.
He prayed for the repose of the monarch’s soul, saying: “May Allah repose his soul in Janna and comfort his family to bear this monumental loss.”
