Senator Omoworare seeks more support Buhari

The Senator representing Osun East at the National Assembly, Senator Babajide Omoworare has admonished Nigerians to give maximum support to President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC to reposition the nation as Nigeria marks Independence anniversary.

This was contained in his message to Nigerians which was made available to newsmen by his media assistant, Comrade Tunde Dairo in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Saturday.

Omoworare urged the citizenry to sustain the patriotic spirit and visions of Nigeria’s founding fathers, which he stated “was beyond ethnic chauvinism,” adding that “we cannot afford to fail them.”

He said: “We must be grateful to God for our continuous existence in the last 56 years regardless of our fair share of diversity challenges which we have been surviving overtime, leaving us with greater sense of belonging and strong believe in the collective responsibility for the Nigeria project.”

Omoworare reiterated the commitment of President Muhamadu Buhari and the APC to governance with purpose and integrity to remake and reorder Nigeria. He expressed optimism in the steps taken so far by the President Buhari led administration to bring corruption to its knees.

He added: “I am in support of the anti-corruption crusade to sanitise the nation and return our sense of integrity and honesty. Blocking economic leakages, loots recovery and prosecution of culprits must be intensified to restore our value for honesty and hard works.

Omoworare applauded the President for his local economy drive and challenged everyone especially the youths to see opportunities towards economic breakthrough rather than joining in the lamentation of temporary sacrifice for a better tomorrow.

“I believe in the will of this administration and I have confidence that the covenant of our party with the people will be realised in the shortest possible time to the delight of all. To make this a reality, all hands must be on deck, leaders and followers alike must play our parts”. Omoworare said.

The Senator commended Ogbeni Aregbesola who he described as a visionary Governor for remaining steadfast and committed to his electioneering promises despite the economic hardship facing the state.

Also, “Osun State Civil Servants, other workers, artisans and youths must be applauded for their sacrifices, their tolerance and understanding remains indelible in our history. I equally appreciate my good people of Osun East for their relentless support and the confidence they always repose in me in discharging my legislative and political assignments”, the Senator said.
