Senator Plang celebrates APC national chair, Yilwatda, at 57

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity and Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, Senator Diket Satso Plang, has joined political leaders, associates, and well-wishers across the country to celebrate the 57th birthday of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.

In a message personally signed by him, Senator Plang described the APC National Chairman as a visionary leader whose life story is a shining example of perseverance, humility, and service to humanity. He noted that Professor Yilwatda’s modest upbringing, from his days at Boys Secondary School, Gindiri, has shaped his values and leadership approach, enabling him to remain grounded even as he occupies one of the highest positions in the ruling party.

The lawmaker recalled with nostalgia their early years together in school, where Yilwatda’s humility, accessibility, and fear of God were already evident traits. According to him, these qualities have continued to guide the APC Chairman, helping him to build bridges of understanding and trust across Nigeria’s diverse ethnic, tribal, and religious divides.

“Your humble background has never been a setback but rather a source of immense strength and resilience,” Senator Plang said. “It is a testament to your capacity to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve outstanding results. This uncommon blend of character and competence has distinguished you as a leader committed to unity, inclusivity, and the advancement of our great party.”

Senator Plang further lauded Professor Yilwatda for his dedication to the ideals of democracy, his unwavering service to the APC, and his commitment to nation-building, noting that these qualities will be critical in steering the party to greater heights.

“As you celebrate this milestone, I join your family, friends, colleagues, and millions of admirers across Nigeria in acknowledging your contributions to political stability and social cohesion,” he added. “I pray that Almighty God blesses you with continued wisdom, sound health, and the strength to discharge your duties with distinction. Congratulations on your 57th birthday and on your recent appointment as National Chairman of our great party.”
