Members of the Nigerian Law School, Class of 78, will be marking their 40th anniversary get-together on July 21 in Abuja. 

The class, which refers to itself as the ‘Golden Class’ has packaged lectures and dinner to mark the anniversary celebration programme. 

The anniversary lecture titled  ‘Advances in Technology: A Sign of Requiem to Legal Practice?’ will be chaired by a former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Modibbo A. Belgore. 

The forum will be attended by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, in company of other justices of the Supreme Court such as Justices Sylvester Ngwuta, Amiru Sanusi, Amina Augie, Paul Galinje and retired Justice Suleiman Galadima.

Some justices of the Court of Appeal expected include Justice Helen Morenikeji Ogunwumiju, Enugu Division; Justice Raphael Agbo, Owerri Division; while the guest speaker will be the Chief Judge of Borno State, Justice Kashim Zannah.

Senior lawyers expected at the event are Olisa Agbakoba, O.C.J. Okocha, Bayo Ojo, Governor Rotimi Akereodolu of Ondo State; chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Victor Ndoma Egba; a former chairperson of the African Union Commission on Human and Peoples Rights, Dupe Atoke, among other distinguished judicial and academic personalities.
