Seplat Energy Offshore Limited has completed the acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.
As a result, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited will now be known as Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), as it has retained all assets and liabilities of the previous company.
Seplat Energy board chairman, Senator Udo Udoma, who stated this on Wednesday in Uyo during a courtesy visit to Governor Umo Eno said the company will support the socio-economic development of Akwa Ibom State.
Udoma said SEPNU will collaborate with the state government and the communities on a long-term basis which would be mutually beneficial.
“We are honoured to have the opportunity to engage with the Akwa Ibom State Government and present our vision for a collaborative future.
In his response, Governor Umo Eno assured the Seplat team, which included the Group Chief Executive Officer, Roger Brown and the Managing Director of Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Mr Oladotun Isiaka, that the state government will create an enabling environment for the company’s operations to thrive.
