Seplat Energy Plc has disclosed its plan to unlock access to education in Africa.

The firm, in a statement stated this as it joined the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2026 as official Theme Partner for the Education Session ahead of the summit organised to convene Africa’s largest cross-sector gathering at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos from 22 to 24 July 2026.

“Under the partnership, Seplat Energy Plc will lead the Education Session at ASIS 2026, driving strategic conversations focused on reimagining education financing, expanding access to quality learning, and strengthening pathways for youth skills development and employability across Africa,” the statement reads.

The statement added that the partnership is expected to shape high-level dialogue on how cross-sector collaboration can unlock more inclusive and scalable education outcomes for the continent’s rapidly growing youth population.

“Africa continues to face a significant education access gap, with Sub-Saharan Africa accounting for the highest number of out-of-school children globally,” the statement read.

Speaking on the partnership, Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO, Sterling One Foundation, said the collaboration reflects the urgency of investing in Africa’s human capital at scale.

“Africa’s future will be defined by the investments we make in people today, especially young people. Education remains one of the strongest drivers of economic mobility, innovation and long-term development.
