A speech delivered by his representative, Prince Bamidele Olusa, Director, Orientation and Cultural Affairs, Ayakoroma said, “the idea is to ensure that our youths are productively engaged and also promote peace and good governance in the society. It will also help students appreciate our cultural diversity, Nigerian languages and dresses, amongst others at any level of social interaction.”

While expatiating on the initiative, he said there will be an annual NICO Secondary Schools Cultural Fiesta where cultural clubs will compete for prizes. He also assured students and school administrators that the Institution will give all the necessary support required.

While emphasizing that membership is free for any interested student, the Principal of the Junior Secondary School, Tudun Wada, Mrs. Caroline Khansary expressed satisfaction over NICO’s response to their call for support. “I doff my cap for NICO, as your response will give us the impetus to see that the club grows. This gives us courage to see that we succeed.” She seized the opportunity to call on patrons to help students harness their cultural goals.
