Senator Suleiman Nazif (APC, Bauchi North), has embarked on free medical eye treatment for the eradication of eye related problems in his constituency.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday in Abuja on the development, Nazif disclosed that about 30,000 persons are going to benefit from the free medical eye treatment.
This exercise, he said, has been ongoing for the past few years in the entire seven local government areas of Bauchi North.
“The optometrists are attending to patients with different eye challenges, and also hand out spectacles after conducting free vision screening, they also give drug packs to treat various eye related diseases’’, he said.
He said the idea was to reduce the eye related diseases which become rampant in recent times, and also assist people who are finding it difficult to access qualitative and affordable treatments close by.
