The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha has expressed sadness over the death of a former SGF, Gidado Idris on Friday.

Gidado who was SGF from 1993-1999 died in  an Abuja hospital at the age of 82 after a protracted illness.

The SGF Boss Mustapha and other dignitaries attended his funeral rites both  at the National Mosque and cemetery Abuja.

Mustapha eulogised Gidado as seasoned civil servant who served Nigeria meritoriously.

"His (Gidado) death is a great lost to Nigeria. We pray God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss," Mustapha said.
