Alhaji Shagari made the call when he received  former Head of State retired General Abdulsalami Abubakar on a courtesy visit in Sokoto.
Shagari stressed the need for continued collaboration with all stakeholders in the development of education in the northern Nigeria, saying this would yield positive results. He commended the present administration in the state for according high priority to education, noting that the newly commissioned state university would help promote education in the state. Earlier, General Abubakar commended the state government for establishing the university which he commissioned Tuesday.
