Speaking to Feverpitch yesterday, the player popularly called ‘mosquito’ by his teeming fans said the match is not going to be easy but Heartland knows that a win would take them up the table.

He said Heartland is not where it should be on the log and every point it can grab now would make meaning.

Ibenegbu maintained that the morale in the team’s camp is really high and the players are rearing to go against Sharks.

“There is no denying the fact that our match against Sharks is a big clash. Even as there is no weak team in the NPL, I want to say Sharks is one of the best teams around. They have experienced players.

“What we want to do is to pick the maximum points. Like I said it is not going to be easy but Sharks won’t stop us. We need the points to come up the ladder.

“Although it is not easy to win away games in the NPL, I am confident that with a level playing field, Sharks won’t swallow us. We are ready for the big match”, he stated.

Ibenegbu in addition thanked Coach Stephen Keshi for giving players in the NPL the opportunity to form the nucleus of the new Super Eagles.

“I want to thank Coach Keshi for making us believe in ourselves. It is now clear that the NPL is blessed with talented players who can hold their own against any opponents.

“We would continue to do our best to justify the confidence he has reposed in us”, he pledged.
