The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Abbas, has urged party supporters in the state to sheath their sword for now as there will be a better time for it.
“I called on you our party youths to keep your weapons for now, as there will be a better time to use it,” said the state party chairman.

The chairman had also ordered party supporters in the state to take stiffer action on any opposition party member that would try to rig election in 2023.
The caretaker committee chairman made the call during the swearing-in ceremony of 44 newly elected local government chairmen held at Kano Pillars Stadium Friday evening.
“Attack and punish anybody you see trying to steal votes during the forthcoming election.
“Take action into your hands and nothing will be done,” he said.
The state APC chairman has been in the middle of several inciting utterances and series of petitions have been raised in connection with these.
He said, while delivering his speech during the swearing-in of the local government Chairmen, that: “I ordered you to punish anybody you see close to Ballots Boxes trying to rig election, nothing would happen,” he said.
Addressing the newly elected chairmen, Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, urged them to cooperate with the state government in achieving its development policies, especially on education and security among others.
