The senator representing Kaduna central, Shehu Sani has expressed dismay over the sharing of $350 million loot recovered from former military ruler, late Gen. Sani Abacha.

Senator Sani in a tweet on Thursday expressed concerns that future generation would be displeased by the manner of the loot disbursement.

According to the lawmaker; "When the future generation asked the question what happened to the loot, they will read that it was recovered. And when they asked what happened to the recovered loot, they will read that it was shared to people known to people in power".

It would be recalled that the Federal Government announced last month that it would commence disbursement of the recovered $322 million Abacha loot through Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT) to 302,000 poor households in 19 states in July.

Senator Sani in a swift reaction suggested that the money be tied to a project Nigerians can see with their eyes, a suggestion which he still stands by.
