A man who claimed to be Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the Boko Haram, today appeared in new video in which he claimed responsibility for the Friday 14th March, 2014 attacks at the 21 Armoured Brigade (Giwa Barrack).
“The raid on the so called Giwa Barrack was generally successful because we have freed all our men that were incacerated there for years,” Shekau said even as he promised to launch more attacks in different parts of Nigeria.
“Before we break the cells at the barracks, there are more than 2000 people incarcerated therein but we set them free. All those killed within the precinct of the barracks are ordinary civilians. We have successfully taken our brethren away and they shared their travails with us,” Shekau said.
The over 1hr 30 minutes video showed hundred of youth that were set free fleeing.
