The followers of the Shiite sect have been urged to imbibe the Islamic spirit of peace and unity and to remain law abiding to the constituted authorities.
The call was contained in a statement signed by National Public Relations Officer of the Rasulul A’azam Foundation, Alhaji Nasir Ja’afar.
“We call on all our members in this great state and across the nation to remain law abiding and shower unflinching loyalty to the constituted authorities; we also call on them to maintain the harmonious co-existence with other citizens to exemplify the beauty of Ahlul bayt school of thought”.
The statement further urged followers of other religions to embrace tolerance for national development and economic growth.
It also called on the government to treat all its citizens with equality and justice, saying there was the need for it to observe restrain in managing crises and resort to dialogue to address issues.
