Shi’ites bury 4 members killed in Bauchi during Ashura procession

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) known as Shi’ites are burying their members allegedly killed by police in Bauchi.

The group alleged that their members were shot by police during their procession to mark the Ashura day in Bauchi and Azare.

Many were also arrested by the police in the two towns.

Speaking to our reporter on telephone Thursday, the group’s spokesperson in Bauchi, Musa Boyi Mohammed said that the funeral of their four dead members will be carried out today.

According to him, the funeral prayer will be held at Filin Kobi in Bauchi metropolis.

“They have brought out three of the dead, we are waiting for the other one to be brought out. They are washing the body now,” he said.
